A cute, cartoonishly detailed theme logo I created as Visual Communications Coordinator for Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. This is for MTAC’s 2014 theme, “love”. It flourishes with cherry blossom petals, a powerful visual in Japan often used in love-oriented anime.

You should know, I’m on a real Mario kick right now. With the recent release of Super Mario Galaxy 2, not to mention E3 with all the other great returning classic platform heroes, I just want to play video games all day. But such desires of the id are played down and subdued, only to be lived out in my fantasies while I watch video game related media at work.

It has this Watership Downish feel to it, and thus my soul keeps preparing to be depressed while watching that.
Apparently it’s based off a manga series, called Apocalypse Meow in English, by Motofumi Kobayashi. The manga was based in Vietnam; the movie is set in the Middle East. Hmm. It will be developed into an anime, too. It’s just that good.
But that’s not why I’m posting today. I’m posting because the ridiculousness of Japanese movies has led me to watch yet another bizarre trailer that I’m not sure I’d be able to endure for more than the length of 4 minutes:
