I’d be remiss not to mention that the lack of updates in the past year have been due to an untimely culmination of personal issues. If you follow me anywhere else, however, you’ll know that I’m generally “fine”, to the extent that one living where I live looking how I look can be! And rest assured there are still a lot of posts in the pipeline. I only need to actually make them!

Thus, in the interest of continuing to thrive as the whole and complete person that I am, I emerged into the second Black Fae Day on May 14 while also visiting the local Renfest for the first time!

Unseemly Unseelie

This time I went dark with it, combining once again my existing clothing with some new pieces for a sharper and more alluring edge. Needless to say, I got a lot of compliments on my…wings.

Me dressed as an unseelie fae in mostly black with Monarch butterfly wings and Japanese style fan

It wasn’t so much of a roleplay weekend as it was a vendor’s day, so I indulged in a little spending — mostly on food, and a big piece of jerky vs the usual turkey leg. I also took in the sights, refraining from showing off this fae’s “darker side”. (Not that I’m any good at live role-playing…) While I didn’t photograph most of them, I did see a lot of Mushroom Fae about, and I absolutely adore that.

Here are the selfies I took myself. Didn’t have the energy to whip out the green screen that I got last year. I think you’ll still get the idea!
