I drew this for Ashley Davis’s Kirby’s Dream Zine! If you know one thing about me, know this: I am a huge Kirby fan.
Pressed for time, I originally wanted this to be more painterly and elaborate, but it turned sort of papery instead, which was simpler with the time I had…and I like it like this, too! Paper Kirby!
The most recent announcements for Kirby Triple Deluxe have me excited again. I loved Kirby’s Return to Dreamland (I had been waiting for that game for YEARS), and while it took me a little while to warm up to it, I love it now. (Going back and replaying the old games really gave me a huge appreciation for how Kirby has been modernized!) I heartily welcome more like it.
