I’ll be participating as a designer in Hack for the Community at Emma next month, March 7th and 8th! I’m excited, as I’ve never done anything like this before. I’ll post an update about the results of our hack-a-thon afterward!

CodePen: Background-Click
Have you ever wanted to set the source of a clicked link — like an image — as the background of a webpage? Last week, I made a simple CodePen demoing that exact thing. You can also view it in action on the front page of this website: if you click directly on any of […]
View ItemAwesome Games Done Quick 2014: Fighting Cancer with Games!
For some reason, I only JUST found out about this event — a week-long, 24-hour livestream of video game speedruns done to raise funds for cancer research through the Prevent Cancer Foundation. A great thing for a great cause: as of this posting, they’ve raised $363,000 of their $500,000 goal! I’ve been watching on-and-off since Tuesday and I’ve gotta say, as someone who knows one too many people touched by cancer, and as a gamer, that I’m very happy this event exists to help people.
EDIT: They ultimately raised over one million dollars! $1,023,218.02 as of 1/14 10 AM CST. That’s amazing.
Healthcare Website Building and Edits 2011-2013
My time working with HCA Healthcare Information Technology & Services has had me edit hundreds of healthcare websites in the span of two years. Most of it has been migrating text and image content, either from a previously-existing website or from provided Word documents, PDFs, and attachments for new sites in dotCMS. Many more have […]

The company’s sudden closure meant that these would never be utilized by them, but then I put them to use: they have served as the basis for WordPress themes I am developing, including […]
View ItemA Dash of Style
Last night I whipped up a quick page displaying a few style comp layouts I did some years back. Old and rapidly-created though they may be, I still have a fondness in my heart for them; they were created with creative liberty, and if there’s anything I enjoy, it’s designing (or re-designing) creative, style-oriented websites. […]
View ItemPortfolio Website Through the Years
Since I created my first online portfolio website in 2005, there have been a few common threads running through all my subsequent portfolio designs. Hmm… I wonder what that could be… Dragons! So many of them! Well, actually, just two, and only one of them are named. Still, my early college work had so many […]

Hey! It’s a brand new website! Things with me are usually pretty slow, personally. It’s been pretty…laid-back since graduation, I’ve worn some of the same clothes since high school, and I still haven’t watched all the original Star Wars movies. I could write about that at length (in fact, I think I’ll make that my […]
